Degree, masters programmes to commence at Air Force institute- Commandant
- Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) will start awarding degree and masters courses
- Some of the degree programmes include Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Automotive Engineering
Air Vice Marshal C. Udeagulu, the commandant of Air Force Institute of Technology, has said that the institute will offer degree courses.
The commandant made the disclosure during his courtesy call to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
We notes that Udeagulu urged the executive secretary of TETFund, Dr Baffa Bichi, to accelerate the growth of infrastructure as well as research and development at the institute.
He said following the passage of the AFIT Establishment Bill into law, the institute is preparing to mount some degree programmes like Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Automotive Engineering, and master’s in Thermo-power, Aerospace Vehicle Design with Airframe, Power plant and Avionics options.
Meanwhile, we previously reported that the chief of the air staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, directed that the Nigeria Air Force special forces be deployed to Zamfara, as part of efforts to stop the incessant banditry attacks in the state.
The directive was in response to the recent attack on Bawan Daji community in Anka local government area of the state where some lives were lost.
