The messiah
Come and sing a song of praise,
To the only messiah of all the race,
Come and dance to him who gave us prices,
Before we give to him our vote of thanks.
Rejoice now for your saviour is born,
Behold and sense the spirit of the virgin.
In the last days,
Many shall come with sugar-sweeted mouth,
Many shall be deceived with their watermalted lies,
And many shall say to bull-harris,
And some to no Harris,
In the last days;
Many shall write in two articles,
One to atiku-late,
And the other to buhari-late.
Rejoice now for your saviour is born,
Behold and sense the spirit of the virgin.
Listen carefully my little infants!
If by chance you heard the talk of many,
Or you heard of them speaking in different tongues,
Asha cra babadbe lafmaetmae lapmatoe,
If you heard of them whose mouth must be stopped,
Or of them whose tongue must be cut,
Teaching things they ought not,
Preaching to your crowds for filthy lucre’s sake.
Run quickly and far away from them,
For they are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
In the earliest age;
When soil is not yet oil,
And the wonders of our drums,
Remain the beauty to the steps of our dancing legs.
We had saviour then also,
But not as many as we see now,
Who keep our conquest to themselves alone,
And give to us a failure request.
Let us praise the Messiah of all,
Who give our requests relating and meeting with our different attire,
Who lived in our heart,
Not to him who deceived us in our earth.
My God with hammer of justice in His hand,
Is coming to judge all accordingly,
To all according to his good and evil act.
Rejoice now for your Saviour is born,
Behold and sense the spirit of the virgin Mary.
